Introducing the Pumpkin Season Throw. A vintage inspired granny square blanket with a twist for Fall. At the center of each square is an adorably plump pumpkin that is created through simple color changes. This throw comes together quickly using chunky yarn and can be completed in just seven days, crocheting three squares per day and joining them as you go. On the final day, you’ll complete just two squares and add the border. This is the fourth blanket in my quick granny square blanket collection. I hope you enjoy crocheting this one as much as I did!

10mm hook
90oz/2550g/1590yd/1455m of any weight 6 yarn

Lionbrand Yarn Woolease Thick & Quick in the colors:
Color A: Pumpkin: 5 (6oz/170g/106yd/97m) skeins*
Color B: Gingerbread: 5, (6oz/170g/106yd/97m) skeins**
Color C: Fisherman: 5, (6oz/170g/106yd/97m) skeins
OR 90oz/2550g/1590yd/1455m of any weight 6 yarn
Please note:
**If JAYGO is not used more yarn in Gingerbread will be needed.
*All 5 skeins of color A will be used entirely with very little allowance left over. Even very small tension differences can impact yarn usage over a large project. If you tend to have looser tension, I highly recommend purchasing an extra skein of color A. If you end up not needing it, you can return it or use it for a different project. The other two colors have plenty of allowance left over.

What People Are Saying

If there’s a hook and fiber pattern, I’m buying it. This is my favorite so far (Evergreen throw) . Beautiful texture and it’s quick to come together.

-Etsy Review

“I wish I could give 100 stars! I am a very new crocheter (talking I knew how to single crochet and make a chain) and this pattern(Evergreen throw) was not only very easy to understand and follow but so fun! So user friendly and produced an absolutely beautiful and soft, cuddly blanket. Being new I also had questions and Laura was so quick to respond and was so warm and helpful in making sure I was assisted. Absolutely wonderful pattern for any experience level

-Etsy Review

“The pattern (chunky waves throw) was easy even for this out of practice user. It all came back after 40+ years and made a beautiful afghan Christmas present for one of my daughters.
